 "There's no place like home"  More and more people are choosing to remain in the comfort of their own homes and Caremark provides the support and personal assistance to make this a reality for a wide cross-section of the community.

There are many benefits to remaining at home as an alternative to full-time residential care. The Clients we assist at home are able to enjoy greater independence as they are in familiar surroundings. Our Clients often feel happier to be living in their own area, close to old neighbours and friends.

Once it has been agreed with the Client and/or their families and written into the Care Plan, our Carers are happy to bring Clients out and about in their own area to call to the local shops, visit friends or relations, to go for a walk in the local park and so on. This enables our Clients to have more regular contact with the people from their own communities as and when they choose.

There is also great flexibility in the number and duration of calls our Carers can make. Clients can choose to have a carer call to their home for short periods once or several times a day. For example, a Caremark Carer could call for an hour in the morning to assist a Client in getting up out of bed and dressed and giving them their breakfast. If required, the Carer could call back at lunchtime and make the dinner and they could call again at night to assist the Client getting ready for bed.

There are many, many different combinations of calls that can be arranged to suit the individual needs of our Clients and their families.

As well as giving Clients increased independence there are obvious financial benefits to using the Caremark service as opposed to opting for full time residential care. Clients may need very few calls during the week to assist them in remaining in their own home. Caremark charge a set hourly fee across all disciplines of care. If, for example, the Client only required five hours of care a week, then that is all they pay for. There are no hidden charges or minimum number of calls required.
